Toronto Turkish Festival

The 4th Annual Toronto Turkish festival was held over the weekend (August 1 and 2, 2009) at Yonge-Dundas square and I happened to be there for a short time by chance. Turkey is a country I am very curious to visit, since according to a theory, my ancestors supposedly originated from somewhere in the Asia minor / Anatolia region.

There must have been some performances at the stage later that day

Classic “Ethnic” fare

Beautiful indeed, I’d love to have some trinkets like these. But there’s no fun buying them in Toronto.

The Turkish food joints were still starting up and all that was available at that time was hot dog, fries and coca cola – my most unlikeable foods. I must go to a Turkish restaurant soon!
Since childhood, I was very fascinated with pottery. I love watching slimy clay being shaped on the turntable

Turkey-Canada bhai-bhai

I was away for the past 4 days on a cycling-camping trip. I’ll blog about it later! 🙂
