Fall colors at Frontenac Provincial Park
I spent the last long weekend (it was Thanksgiving in Canada) camping at Frontenac park, about 280km east of Toronto, with the intention of watching autumn colours. Thankfully the timing to watch Fall colors was pretty good although the weather was kind of a letdown, and so was the terrain.
It was quite chilly (about -4ºC last night and +3ºC previous), windy and occasionally there was a shower. Still overall it was very enjoyable… I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
PS: I wasn’t sure if I should include this place in Toronto Tuesday since technically the park is not in the city. But I thought it was okay to expand the boundaries once a while.

The mushroom looks very enticing, although I am pretty sure that is not edible. And hey, you’ve already extended the boundaries of Toronto Tuesday once, when you posted pictures of Canada’s Wonderland, so I don’t see this as a problem.
There were many colorful mushrooms in that place, I hadn’t seen a lavender coloured one except on TV. Canada’s wonderland is still in Toronto, but posting about Niagara Falls and Wasaga Beach and now Frontenac Park – that’s a broad definition.
Fall is my most favorite time of the year. I wish you had posted more pictures.
I studied in Massachusetts, so have been all over New England in fall. I used to love it there. Then we moved to California where fall is almost non-existent.
Have fun.
Hi Vamsee, unfortunately the weather wasn’t right and nor were the views very vivid and colourful. I love walking in the woods during this season too!
Beautiful Fall colors! My favorite pics are the ones with the clouds, it adds to the atmosphere.
Hi Zhu, I haven’t visited your blog in ages but hopefully you have some colorful pics too!
Oh, fall colors are lovely.:)
The second picture is superb!
Thanks thanks! It is usually prettier, but I didnt get a good overview of the place. When you are inside a forest, things don’t look as pretty as they look from a distance.
Hi Priyank, What a great way to spend the weekend. This is by far my favorite blog post on here.
I love the autumn and autumn colours, and I completely agree with Celine regarding the second photo. Incredibly beautiful, especially when the clouds and trees are mirrored in the water. What was wrong with the terrain though?
Oh thank you Erica! I loved those pictures too!
The terrain was quite flat, with minor ups and downs. I was expecting mountains… I don’t know why I was expecting that since there are none in this area… hehehe! Also, I was hoping to get on top of some kind of hill to observe the surroundings and the trees from above, but there was no such spot.
