Volume 1, Edition 2
‘Toronto Tuesday’ is a weekly photo feature about random stuff (landmarks, people, culture, seasons, etc.) in my city.
We had a welcome respite from the freezing temperatures last weekend and the Lake Ontario looked charming.

Ducks and Geese in semi frozen lake

Lakeshore

Chunks of broken ice floating on the water. I wish I could hop and jump over them like they show in cartoons!
The sky was blue, water was blue and floating chunks of ice looked beautiful. It is interesting to see how naturally formed ice breaks along a straight line. This week is going to be rainy and gloomy, which will make picture taking more interesting!

Swapneel, LOL, yes won’t that be nice!
Oh! What beautiful pictures!! Love the floating ice on the blue lake. Those geese are thick skinned!
Vamsee, yeah, I was shocked to see them happily swimming and even taking a nap in water !!
Brrr…. looking at these pictures make me shiver!
Picture taking will not only be interesting but challenging too.

Nice pics as always, Priyank. Wish I could come over and experience this!
When are you visiting?
Cool pics, literally. Lol about the jumping on the ice.
Thanks Bob, too bad I am heavy and I certainly don’t want to sink
I wonder how can these ducks survive the chilled lake water! Nice observation about breaking of naturally formed ice. Wishing you some sunshine
Gauri, I wonder too… some of the ducks were peacefully taking a nap in chilly water! We never understand these quack quacks!
Priyank, okay I did not know that there were swans on the lake Ontario, lol, I know there are Canada geese and ducks, but swans wow. And that looks like icy lake….Thanks for posting, now I am itching to see lake Ontario soon. Anna
Swans! Yes! I didn’t write because I didn’t know what they are called in English! I often see Swans in the lake and sometimes even in the rivers (Humber, Don)! Thanks Anna, thats sweet!
