Namaskar!
Finally! I was able to setup the weblog, with some of help and trying (in vain) to play around with MySQL vs PostgreSQL. The blog does work now, and I’m glad to have one on my website. This will, hopefully, give a dynamic look to my otherwise static website. I’m (in)famous for not updating the site for months together. Now I intend to update it regularly (and eventually contribute more junk to the already cluttered cyberspace).
I don’t know who will read it, because it probably serves no useful purpose to the world other than to entertain myself. I’m okay with that! ![]()
Cheers!
Priyank
Note: I had a mostly static website from September 2002 to June 2005.
June 2005 to November 2007
During this period, I was in very early stages of evolution and I couldn’t decide how to separate my blog posts under various categories. So, all travel-related content was posted on my personal blog along with everything else.
Eventually, in 2007, I started working harder to develop an identity for this travel blog.
November 14, 2008
I formally separated my blog into two parts:
Personal blog: http://priyank.com/weblog/
Travel blog: http://finaltransit.com/blog
For all intents and purposes, June 5, 2005 is my blog’s birthday!

One fine day (obviously, it wasn’t in St. Petersburg) I sat down to think (yes that happens too!) the purpose of my blog and I was left with a clueless expression on my face. I therefore decided to carve out the Travelogs as a separate blog before it took over rest of my blogging. Note: I had started blogging on June 5, 2007. [...]
